మన జీవితంలో కొన్నిసార్లు సమస్యలు నలుమూలల నుండి చుట్టుముట్టినప్పుడు, నిందలు మరియు అపజయాల వల్ల సమాజంలో తలదించుకోవాల్సిన పరిస్థితులు రావచ్చు. "ఇక నా పని అయిపోయింది, నన్ను ఆదుకునేవారే లేరు" అని మనం దిగులుపడుతుంటాం. భక్తుడైన దావీదు కూడా తన సొంత కుమారుడైన అబ్షాలోము చేత తరుమబడుతూ, ప్రాణభయంతో అరణ్యంలో పారిపోతున్నప్పుడు సరిగ్గా ఇలాంటి స్థితినే ఎదుర్కొన్నాడు. శత్రువులు ఆయనను చూసి "దేవుడు అతనిని రక్షించడు" అని ఎగతాళి చేశారు. కానీ దావీదు పరిస్థితులను చూసి కుంగిపోకుండా, విశ్వాసంతో దేవుని వైపు చూసి పలికిన అద్భుతమైన మాట ఇది. కీర్తనలు 3:3 లో లేఖనం ఇలా సెలవిస్తోంది: "యెహోవా, నీవే నాకు కేడెముగాను నీవే నాకు అతిశయాస్పదముగాను నా తల ఎత్తువాడవుగాను ఉన్నావు."
ఈ చిన్న వచనంలో దేవుడు మనకు ఎలా తోడుగా ఉంటాడో దావీదు మూడు అద్భుతమైన సత్యాలను బయలుపరుస్తున్నాడు:
ఆయనే మన కేడెము (Shield): యుద్ధంలో కేడెము ఎలాగైతే సైనికుడిని శత్రువుల బాణాల నుండి కాపాడుతుందో, అలాగే దేవుడు మన చుట్టూ రక్షణగా నిలిచి, అపవాది విసిరే ఏ కీడూ మనకు తగలకుండా కాపాడుతాడు.
ఆయనే మన అతిశయాస్పదము (Glory): లోకం తన ధనమును బట్టి, బలమును బట్టి అతిశయించవచ్చు. కానీ దేవుని బిడ్డలమైన మనకు మన దేవుడే అతిశయం. ఆయన మనకు తోడుగా ఉన్నాడనే సత్యమే మనకు సర్వస్వం.
ఆయనే మన తల ఎత్తువాడు (Lifter of my head): లోకం మనల్ని తక్కువ చేసి మాట్లాడి, అవమానాలతో మన తల వంగిపోయేలా చేసినా.. మనల్ని ప్రేమించే ప్రభువు మన చెయ్యి పట్టి, మన తల పైకెత్తేలా చేస్తాడు. ఆయన మనకు తిరిగి ఘనతను, గౌరవాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తాడు.
ఈ రోజు మీ జీవితంలో ఎదురైన నిందలు, అపజయాలను బట్టి తలదించుకుని ఏడుస్తున్నారా? చుట్టూ ఉన్న సమస్యలను చూసి భయపడుతున్నారా? ధైర్యంగా ఉండండి! మిమ్మల్ని కాపాడే దేవుడు మీ పక్షాన ఉన్నాడు. లోకం మిమ్మల్ని ఎక్కడైతే తక్కువ చేసిందో, అక్కడే దేవుడు మీ తల ఎత్తునట్లు చేయబోతున్నాడు. ఈ రోజే మీ భారాన్ని ఆయనపై వేసి, ఆయనే నా రక్షణ అని విశ్వాసంతో ఒప్పుకోండి. ఆమేన్!

In our lives, when problems surround us from all sides, failures and accusations can bring moments where we are forced to hang our heads in shame. We often worry, thinking, "It's all over for me, there is no one to save me." The Psalmist David faced a similar crisis when he was fleeing for his life into the wilderness, pursued by his own son, Absalom. His enemies mocked him, saying, "There is no help for him in God." Yet, instead of succumbing to despair, David looked to God in pure faith and declared these magnificent words. Psalms 3:3 proclaims: "But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head."
Within this brief verse, David reveals three beautiful truths about how God stands by us:
He is our Shield: Just as a shield protects a soldier from the enemy's arrows in battle, God encompasses us as a divine shield, protecting us from every harm and fiery dart of the adversary.
He is our Glory: The world may boast in its wealth or power, but as children of God, our Lord is our only boast. The fact that He is with us is everything to us.
He is the Lifter up of our head: Even when the world looks down on us and causes our heads to bow in shame, the Lord who loves us takes us by the hand and lifts our heads high. He restores our honor and dignity.
Are you weeping today with your head bowed down because of the insults or setbacks you have faced? Are you terrified of the problems surrounding you? Take courage! The God who protects you is on your side. In the very place where the world looked down on you, God is going to lift your head high. Cast your burden upon Him today and confess with faith that He is your shield. Amen!
