(Today's Spiritual Message)
(Prayer):

In our daily Christian walk, the echoes of our past habits, temptations, and the guilt of old sins often try to pull us backward. Many believers face an intense internal struggle, wondering, "Will I ever truly overcome my weaknesses? Am I permanently bound by my past?" When trying to conquer sin by human willpower feels impossible, God reveals a profound, life-changing reality about our true identity in Christ. The Apostle Paul declares this supreme spiritual truth regarding our new life in Romans 6:11:
"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Key Spiritual Realities:
Dead Unto Sin: Through our union with Christ in His death, the tyrannical power of our old sinful nature has been broken. Sin no longer has the legal right to dominate or control your life.
Alive Unto God: We are not merely emptied of sin; we are filled with resurrected life. You have been brought to life to walk in intimate fellowship with God and fulfill His divine purposes.
The Power of Reckoning: "Reckoning" is an act of faith. It means counting God's truth as an absolute fact in your daily experience, regardless of how you feel. It is aligning your mind with your new spiritual identity.
Are you feeling weighed down today by a recurring temptation, a sense of unworthiness, or a past failure that the enemy keeps reminding you of? Does the struggle against your old nature rob you of your spiritual joy? Take heart!
You are no longer a slave to sin. Refuse to let guilt or old habits dictate your future. Start declaring what the Word says about you: you are dead to sin and completely alive to God! Claim this spiritual freedom today. Walk confidently in the newness of life, knowing that the Holy Spirit within you provides all the power you need to live victoriously for God's glory. Amen!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, we thank You for the glorious victory we have through Jesus Christ. Lord, I choose today to reckon myself entirely dead to sin and the desires of the flesh. Thank You that my old nature was crucified with Christ. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit so that I may live every moment alive unto You, walking in righteousness and holiness. Empower me to reflect Your grace in all that I do. In Jesus' most holy and precious name, we pray. Amen!
