ఈ లోకంలో జీవిస్తున్నప్పుడు, ఎటు చూసినా ఏదో ఒక అపాయం, భయానక వాతావరణం, అభద్రతాభావం మనల్ని వెంటాడుతున్నట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది. శత్రువుల నుండి వచ్చే బెదిరింపులు, భవిష్యత్తు గురించిన ఆందోళనలు, హఠాత్తుగా ఎదురయ్యే ఆపదలు మన హృదయాలలో సమాధానాన్ని దూరం చేయడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తుంటాయి. కానీ, దేవుని బిడ్డలకు ఒక గొప్ప ఆత్మీయ ధైర్యం ఉంది. దేవుడు కేవలం ఆకాశంలో ఉన్నవాడు మాత్రమే కాదు, ఆయన మన మధ్య, మన అంతరంగంలో నివసించే 'ఇమ్మానుయేలు'. మన మధ్య ఉన్న సర్వశక్తిమంతుడైన దేవుడు మనకు విధించబడిన దండనను తొలగించి, రక్షణగా నిలుస్తాడని ప్రవక్తయైన జఫన్యా ద్వారా జఫన్యా 3:15 లో ఈ అద్భుతమైన ఆత్మీయ సత్యాన్ని వెల్లడించాడు:

However, as redeemed children of the Most High, we possess an unassailable guarantee. God is not a distant observer isolated in the cosmos; He is 'Immanuel'—actively residing in our midst. Announcing this dynamic restoration, the Sovereign God proclaims through the Prophet Zephaniah in Zephaniah 3:15:
"The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more."
