ఈ లోకంలో జీవిస్తున్నప్పుడు ఆపదలు, సమస్యలు ఎదురైనప్పుడు మనుషులు తరచుగా తమ సొంత శక్తియుక్తులపై, లోకసంబంధమైన అండదండలపై లేదా ధనబలంపై ఆధారపడుతుంటారు. కానీ మానవ సహాయం తాత్కాలికమైనది; పరిస్థితులు తలకిందులైనప్పుడు లోకసంబంధమైన ఆధారాలన్నీ కూలిపోవచ్చు. సరిగ్గా ఇటువంటి క్లిష్ట సమయాల్లో సృష్టికర్తయైన దేవుని ఆశ్రయించడమే మనిషికి నిజమైన భద్రతను, శాశ్వతమైన సమాధానాన్ని ఇస్తుంది. దేవుని శరణుజొచ్చేవారి పక్షాన ఆయన అభేద్యమైన కేడెంగా నిలుస్తాడని, అటువంటివారు ఎంత మాత్రము భయపడాల్సిన అవసరం లేదని కీర్తనకారుడు కీర్తనలు 2:12 లో ఈ గొప్ప ఆత్మీయ అభయాన్ని ప్రకటించాడు:
"ఆయనను ఆశ్రయించువారందరు ధన్యులు."

అభేద్యమైన రక్షణ (Divine Refuge): లోకంలో ఎలాంటి తుఫానులు రేగినా, శత్రువుల కుట్రలు ముంచుకొచ్చినా దేవుని సాన్నిధ్యం మనకు బలమైన కోట. ఆయన రక్షణ వలయంలో ఉన్నవారిని ఏ కీడు హాని చేయలేదు.
ధన్యులు (Blessed): లోకసంబంధమైన ఆధారాలను పక్కన పెట్టి, కేవలం దేవునిపైనే నిరీక్షణ ఉంచేవారిని పరలోకపు తండ్రి 'ధన్యులు' (ఆశీర్వదించబడినవారు) అని పిలుస్తున్నాడు. వారు అనుకోని ఆపదల్లో సైతం నిశ్చలంగా, జయకరంగా నిలబడతారు.
