ఈ లోకంలో జీవిస్తున్నప్పుడు అనేక ప్రతికూలతలు, నిరాశ పరిచే వార్తలు, ఆందోళన కలిగించే పరిస్థితులు మన హృదయాన్ని భారంతో నింపేస్తుంటాయి. కానీ, మన పరలోకపు తండ్రి సదా దయాళుడు. ఆయన స్వభావంలో ఎన్నటికీ కీడు లేదు; ఆయన కేవలం మంచివాడు మాత్రమే కాదు, సమస్త మేలులకు మూలకారకుడు. మనస్సు కలవరపడుతున్నప్పుడు దేవుని దయాళుత్వాన్ని తలంచుకుంటూ ఆయన పరిశుద్ధ నామాన్ని కీర్తించడం ప్రారంభించినప్పుడు, మన అంతరంగంలో ఉన్న చీకటి, భయం ఆవిరైపోయి దైవికమైన ఆనందం ప్రవేశిస్తుంది. భక్తుడైన కీర్తనకారుడు దేవుని అపారమైన దయను, ఆయన నామము యొక్క శ్రేష్ఠతను స్మరిస్తూ కీర్తనలు 135:3 లో ఈ గొప్ప ఆత్మీయ పిలుపును ఇచ్చాడు:

ఆయన నామము మనోహరము (His name is pleasant): దేవుని నామము కేవలం ఒక పేరు మాత్రమే కాదు; అది ఆపత్కాలంలో బలమైన కోట. ఆయన నామాన్ని కీర్తించడం, ధ్యానించడం మన ఆత్మకు ఎంతో మధురమైన, మనోహరమైన అనుభూతిని (Pleasantness), శాంతిని ప్రసాదిస్తుంది.
